Practical information for installing, operating and maintaining your Smellitzer® system.
What is Smellitzer®?
Smellitzer® is a registered UK trademark representing a range of professional scent atomization systems owned by Phoenix Digital Solutions Limited. Smellitzer® systems use cold-air atomization technology. A small internal pump and air pressure system convert liquid aroma oils into ultra-fine dry particles. These microscopic particles disperse evenly into the air without heat or water dilution.
This process ensures longer airborne suspension, even distribution, no residue and no burnt fragrance smell when operated with suitable aroma oils.
Installation & Operation
- • Position the diffuser in a secure, upright location with adequate airflow.
- • Use only approved aroma oils suitable for cold-air atomization systems.
- • For HVAC-integrated models, ensure installation is carried out by a competent technician.
- • Configure diffusion schedules and intensity according to room size and operating hours.
Maintenance
Routine maintenance typically includes:
- • Checking aroma oil levels and refilling as required.
- • Inspecting the atomization head and fan periodically for dust or residue.
- • Ensuring air pathways are clear and unobstructed.
- • Using approved aroma oils to minimise residue and wear.
For a deeper clean, use the recommended Smellitzer cleaning solution:
- • Power off the machine, remove the aroma bottle and decant any remaining oil into a clean temporary container.
- • Add a small amount of Smellitzer cleaning solution, swirl to rinse the bottle and discard this rinse.
- • Fill the bottle with enough cleaner for a short cleaning run and refit it to the diffuser.
- • Place the unit in a stable, dry, well-ventilated area (ideally outdoors under cover), then set a high work time with minimal pause between doses to flush the system.
- • When finished, power off the unit, safely dispose of the used cleaner, refill the bottle with your aroma oil and restore your normal timing settings.
Maintenance and cleaning frequency depend on usage intensity and environment.
Safety Information
Smellitzer® systems are designed to operate without combustion, aerosols or open heating elements. They use cold-air diffusion and are suitable for commercial environments when used with approved aroma oils.
